Governor Uba Sani on 11th of March, 2025 performed the official launch of the Kaduna Bus Rapid Transit (KBRT) System (a 24km corridor from Kawo to Sabon Tasha) and groundbreaking for the construction of the Southern Terminal, an ultra – modern central motor park that will serve as a vital hub for the transportation network on the southern axis of the state.
Before the official launch and groundbreaking, the Governor received in audience the French Ambassador to Nigeria, H.E. Marc Fonbaustier, and officials of the French Development Agency (AFD), the partner in the KBRT Project. Speaking during the courtesy visit and official launch of KBRT, Ambassador Fonbaustier said that his trip to Kaduna is his first official trip to the North. He stated that his choice of Kaduna is deliberate and strategic.
Governor Uba Sani said the KBRT, which is the first of its kind in Northern Nigeria and second in Nigeria, marks a significant milestone in his administration’s commitment to enhancing public transportation, fostering sustainable urban development, and improving the quality of life of the citizens.
Governor Uba Sani is receiving the Ambassador of France to Nigeria, Marc Fonbaustier at the Sir Kashim Ibrahim House, Kaduna. Right after, they will proceed for the official presentation of the Kaduna Bus Rapid Transit (KBRT).
