Three newly appointed commissioners of the state Electoral Commission (SIECOM) have been sworn in. Those sworn in are Alhaji Abubakar Sadik Musa, Alhaji Ahmed Yahaya, and Halima Sani Aminu.
Deputy Governor Dr. Hadiza Sabuwa Balarabe, who swore in the new SIECOM members, emphasized the vital role played by the commission in upholding democracy and underscored the necessity of ensuring fair and transparent electoral processes. She called upon the newly appointed commissioners to uphold democratic values in their duties.
The swearing-in ceremony, which took place at the Council Chambers of Sir Kashim Ibrahim House, was attended by senior government officials, including the Secretary to the State Government and members of the State Executive Council, as well as the families and friends of the newly appointed commissioners.
