Governor Uba Sani has held a strategic engagement meeting with the Kaduna State Council of Chiefs focusing on development and security issues, with a view to forging a united and coordinated approach to addressing challenges confronting the state.
The Governor assured the Royal Fathers that the traditional institution will continue to hold a pride of place and therefore sought their support and cooperation to enable the government to quicken the pace of development in Kaduna State.
The Governor informed the royal fathers of the State Government’s readiness to comply fully with the judgment of the Court issued on 10th June 2024, restoring the Chief of Piriga Chiefdom, in Lere LGA, His Royal Highness, Jonathan Zamuna, back to his stool.
Responding, the Chairman of the Kaduna State Council of Chiefs, the Emir of Zazzau, His Royal Highness, Amb. Ahmad Nuhu Bamalli, commended the State Government for its infrastructural drive and sustained efforts in security management and peace building.
While expressing delight that the strategic interventions by the state government have impacted positively on the lives of people in the communities, he pledged the loyalty and support of the Council of Chiefs to the realization of the set goals and objectives of state administration.
