In a bid to enhance the capacity of local government employees and foster efficient service delivery, the Local Government Service Board (LGSB) has successfully organized a four-day ICT Training for Assistant Directors of Establishment across the 23 Local Government Councils of Kaduna State. The training, conducted in collaboration with ICT Hub Kaduna, aimed to equip participants with essential skills to leverage technology, streamline data management processes, and enhance communication in their respective roles.
The initiative underscores the commitment of the Kaduna State Government, under the leadership of His Excellency, Governor Uba Sani, to strengthening the capacity of local government personnel towards driving rural transformation. During the opening ceremony, the Chairman of the Board, Professor Aminu Ladan Sharehu, OON, expressed gratitude to His Excellency, the Governor, for his commitment to the advancement of local government employees. He further expressed gratitude to the Commissioner, Ministry of Local Government, and the Chairmen of the 23 Local Government Councils for their relentless support and cooperation to the Board, stating that their collective efforts have been instrumental in ensuring the success of initiatives aimed at enhancing the skills and capabilities of local government employees.
During the training, participants thanked the LGSB for organizing such a valuable program, which, according to some of the participants, has equipped them with invaluable skills that will not only enhance their efficiency but also contribute to the overall development of local government councils.
The training sessions covered various aspects of ICT, including data processing, management, and digital communication tools. Participants actively engaged in practical exercises and interactive sessions, gaining hands-on experience in leveraging technology to address administrative challenges effectively. As the training concludes, the LGSB reaffirms its commitment to continuous capacity building initiatives, aimed at fostering a skilled workforce capable of driving sustainable development at the local level.
